Anxiety, Panic & Phobias

Anxiety issues generally come with worries and similar thoughts, along with anxious feelings. These are typically rooted in past experiences that were experienced as threatening. Together, we will empower you to recognise and accept those experiences, and adopt different thoughts and reactions to events in the future that promote calm, strength and confidence.

Stress, Burnout & Performance Anxiety

Whether it's work pressure, burnout, or anxiety around performing - on stage, in exams, in sport - I help you find a steadier relationship with pressure rather than being run by it.

Depression & Low Mood

Low mood and depression can make even small tasks feel enormous. Therapy here isn't about forcing positivity - it's about understanding what's underneath the low mood and finding a way back to yourself.

Trauma & PTSD

Past trauma, whether a single event or something ongoing, can stay lodged in the brain/body long after the event itself. I work carefully and at your pace, using approaches suited to re-processing traumatic experiences without re-traumatising. Note: this service is available only face-to-face in Newcastle.

OCD & Unwanted Habits

From intrusive thoughts and compulsions to habits you'd rather be free of, I help you understand the pattern and build a different relationship with it. OCD is at base an anxiety disorder, and we will work both at the level of anxious thoughts and reactions.

Confidence & Self-Esteem

When self-doubt or self-judgment has become the loudest voice in the room, therapy can help you build a steadier, kinder sense of yourself.

Bereavement & Loss

Grief doesn't move in a straight line. I offer a steady, unhurried space to process loss, whatever form it takes. Fully honouring the departed while moving to a new form of life.

Sexuality & Gender-Related Concerns

A confidential, non-judgemental space to explore questions of sexuality or gender identity, at your own pace. I honour and value all forms of (safe) sexual expression.

Difficult Emotions & Self-Harm

If difficult emotions are part of what you're carrying, therapy can help you find safer ways to recognise, accept and redirect them. In most cases ‘self-harm’ results from deep frustration over emotional distress. If that’s the case with you I will help you release from the eel;f-judgments that underlie your frustration.

Note: If you're in immediate danger, please contact 999 or the Samaritans on 116 123.

Sleep & Insomnia

Poor sleep and anxiety often feed each other. I work with you to interrupt that cycle and restore good sleeping habits.

Medically Unexplained & Chronic Conditions

Chronic fatigue syndrome/ME, fibromyalgia, IBS, migraines and other medically unexplained symptoms respond differently to standard talking therapy. For these, I use Reverse Therapy, a specific brain-retraining approach I trained in directly with its founder.

What I Can Help With

Everyone arrives at therapy with their own, unique issues, and rarely does one label cover the whole picture. Below are the areas I work with most. If you don't see your situation listed, get in touch and we can work around it.
